Adult Education

  • Most of the calendar year we offer two Sunday School classes that meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.
    • A class meets in our side auditorium that is usually taught by one of our shepherds or one of our senior adults.
    • An additional class meets in our education building known as the Salt Shakers. This class ranges in age from early 20’s to mid-50’s.
    • We believe that we can learn from each other, so any adult class will usually include a healthy amount of discussion. These two classes are often combined during the summer months.
  • We have a Bible class for adults on Wednesday evening that meets at 7:00 PM. Like our Sunday school classes, this class is discussion-based and is usually taught by our minister. We generally begin with a time of sharing gratitude (all sharing is voluntary) and then we take prayer requests and spend several minutes in prayer. The remainder of our time (usually about 40 minutes) is spent discovering some aspect of Holy Scripture together.

 S.O.A.P. Lists

  • Each month we provide a SOAP List (Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer) so that our adults can be provided with a list of daily Bible readings that usually follow a common theme. We believe that to get the most out of God’s word, spending time thinking about how it applies to our lives (we recommend journaling this each day) then spending time in prayer over the verses that have been read makes the experience more meaningful. Like all aspects of church life, this is done voluntarily.
