Adult Education

  • Most of the calendar year we offer two Sunday School classes that meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.
    • A class meets in our side auditorium that is usually taught by one of our shepherds or one of our senior adults.
    • An additional class meets upstairs. This class ranges in age from early 20’s to mid-50’s.
    • Greg teaches a class on Sunday mornings in the library on why we believe what we believe. This class is designed for newer Christians or for anyone who has joined us in the last few years and would like to know the biblical basis of the foundations of our faith. This is an ongoing series and it will never be too late to join.
  • We have a Bible class for adults on Wednesday evening that meets at 6:30 PM. Like our Sunday school classes, this class is discussion-based and is usually taught by our minister. We generally begin with a time of sharing gratitude (all sharing is voluntary) and then we take prayer requests and spend several minutes in prayer. The remainder of our time (usually about 40 minutes) is spent discovering some aspect of Holy Scripture together.

 S.O.A.P. Lists

  • Each month we provide a SOAP List (Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer) so that our adults can be provided with a list of daily Bible readings that usually follow a common theme. We believe that to get the most out of God’s word, spending time thinking about how it applies to our lives (we recommend journaling this each day) then spending time in prayer over the verses that have been read makes the experience more meaningful. Like all aspects of church life, this is done voluntarily.
